For the families, there is Northstar where you can have yellow zones for starters, and a couple of Adventure Parks trails for the kids. The whole family gets something special here. St the Squaw Valley, though, you get to meet both the pros as well as the starts in its 4,000 acre sprawling complex. There are a set of narrow cliffs and also chutes that can become diving boards on snowy days for those who have to courage to attempt a dive from here. At Alpine Meadows, it’s almost sunset years time, where people glide down to Sunspot to get beautiful views of the lake.

While at North Shore, you can stay at the Ritz-Carlton Highlands, which opened just in 2009. The 170 rooms here have a gas fireplace in every room and you have a choice of two hot tubs and outdoor pools to round off a hard day of enjoyment. You can also enjoy the view from Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, complete with alpine furniture and outdoor prints.
