But this has not been the case uniformly. There have also been quite a few cases, where people have made some money and struck some great deals due to the economic recession. Take for instance the case where people were renters because they did not have enough money to buy the piece of real estate that they always wanted to. With the economic recession, the situation changed and they got an opportunity to pick up great property deals. People who were postponing buying property due to prevalent high prices, now got the chance to buy up lands, houses and condos, at much better rates.

The economic recession has brought prices crashing down to more realistic and feasible levels. Take for instance Karl Alomar and his model wife Olga Malyuk. The couple had been just too lazy to buy a flat, even though they had the means, and they waited for 2 years to buy a flat. Then in 2008, the economic recession came in, and the property market just crashed before their disbelieving eyes. They even got a suitable and desirable Flairton loft apartment which was in the market for 18 months, at a price that was roughly 5% lower than what was being asked for.
