Movie production venture of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon
Everyone in Hollywood knows of the long friendship of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who have been buddies for long. Well, it seems like the duo are teaming up to start their own movie production company. They might be in touch with Warner Bros. for a deal, too. Getting to movie production may not seem like a very natural or likely venture for these 2 guys, considering the fact that their personalities are quite different and their movie careers have panned out quite differently. For one, Ben has had some disastrous runs at the box office, with movies like Gigli and Paycheck not being so great. But his directorial venture with Gone Baby Gone has done well.
Matt on the other hand, is someone who is quite a bankable star and is one of the few in the ‘first dollar gross participants’ who gets a share of the grosses of a movie, even before anyone else gets. His return on investment is also very high, which means he doesn’t really need to get into movie production. But then, people say that with Matt, he has an eye on movie direction, which also means that getting into movie production might be quite a natural progression from his perspective.
