Miami Fashion Week 2010

Big time fashion is making another appearance in Miami in 2010. The 12th annual Miami International Fashion Week is to unravel in this city for four days beginning March18th and ending on Sunday21st. The glam event is to be held at the Shops at Midtown in the fashionable Wynwood Art District. The whole area is to undergo a transformation, especially the building, which will be turned into an ultra modern Fashion City. All the best known designers and fashionistas are going to descend on this city for four days, and the building is turned around to host all fashion shows and sponsor lounges for the duration of the event.

This is the largest International fashion event in the country, and this event has been responsible for introducing many talents in beauty, fashion, art and cuisine to the country. Designers, models, entertainers, and celebrities from all over the world are going to be present there displaying their creations and talents. Entries from Australia, Belgium, Canada, India, Italy, Lebanon, UAE, Mexico, Eastern Europe and even Afghanistan are predicted to enthrall and please the fashion senses of all those present at the venue for four days. Needless to say, the event attracts tremendous media attention and the international media is going to be there in full strength jostling for space among themselves. It’s going to be a high voltage glam event that will be made even more glamorous by the presence of Hollywood celebrities and business jet setters wearing their own designer clothes.

The full four days of the event are packed with exciting events other than the fashion shows and display of fashion creations from around the world, and the event culminates with the Miami Moda and Music awards—an entertainment show with a mixture of fashion and music. That’s not all; the visitors and participants will be kept gastronomically entertained by celebrity chefs who will take turns each day to display their culinary skills at the International Culinary Arts Pavilion. The theme of the chef’s creations will be based on the menu of the country of the designer whose designs are displayed for that day. The terrific tasting food will be helped washed down by select wine menus from across the world.

If you’re planning to visit the ultimate fashion event in the country, you’ll have to remember to dress up in “Miami chic” and to leave your kids under fifteen years at home. Miami can get crowded and expensive, so you’d better get yourself accommodation in good Miami vacation deals in the vicinity, as they are way better and much cheaper than hotels. Look for event related airline discount tickets on the Internet, and get ready for a week of high voltage fashion, entertainment, and great tasting food and wine. Ticket sales start in Jan 2010 and more details can be had at miamifasionweek.com.
