Internet fans make a fashion icon out of homeless man

When people run out of ideas, they take just about anything and add lots of hype to get it going. It looks like the conventional fashion icon types have been abandoned. People have made a fashion icon out of a homeless man in China, whose looks have caught the fancy of netizens, who seem to be raving about him. The man is a resident of Ningbo and his picture posted on the internet has won him a lot of admirers. Some say he looks like a ‘Beggar Prince’ while others call him ‘Handsome Vagabond’. There are some who go so far as to compare his looks to that of a model in the D&G show.

This man is said to be clearly mentally disturbed. And to make a fashion icon out of such a man seems to be not in the best of taste. But you really can’t blame internet uses, can you? On the internet, just about anything can become a fashion icon. Even a poor, homeless beggar, who probably has never even heard of the internet, much less knowing what being a fashion icon means. If he had, he might have perhaps never had the level of rawness needed to be a fashion icon on the internet, these days.
